Treatments for Acne/Rosacea
It is strongly recommended that a combination of Medical and Cosmetic dermatology treatments be used to attain the best improvement in the condition of your skin.

Some of the cosmetic treatments available are Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Photo Dynamic Therapy and Cool Touch III Laser. Your provider will consult with you about the best treatment for your specific situation. Insurance plans do not cover the following cosmetic treatments. Payment for these procedures is due at the time of the procedure.

Cool Touch III Laser
Cool Touch III Laser procedures are done to treat inflammatory acne, as well as fine lines and wrinkles, and depressed scars . This laser works by shrinks sebaceous glands to reduce acne, and stimulating your own collagen to support the area(s) of concern.
This procedure can be uncomfortable to painful, depending on the individual. It has been described as feeling like "a rubber band snapping" or " a hot grease splatter". Anesthesia is available for treatments for a slight additional fee, and may be recommended for whole face treatments. Targeted treatments (e.g. 15 minutes) to inflammatory and cystic acne lesions only are generally better tolerated . Post procedure pink to redness lasting 2 - 3 hours can be noted. A series of treatments is recommended, depending on the concern and the area being treated. The treatments are done 3 - 4 weeks apart. Cool Touch treatments range for regional areas (e.g. full face) and for treating full face, neck, and upper chest. Packages of 3 -5 treatments are available at a reduced cost. Anesthesia options include: Topical LMX cream, Hypo and Local blocks. Targeted treatments of 15 minutes are available.
